Questions and Answers... Straight from the Service Technicians

Question 1: How often should I change my water filter in my refrigerator?
A:  It is recommended to change the filter every 6 months.  Other signs are that the ice cubes become hollow, the water will
taste differently, or the water pressure will decrease.

Question 2:  My washer has an odor, what should I do?
A:  1. Use powder soap rather than liquid.
2. Do not leave clothes in washer overnight or for a long period of time.
3. Use Affresh Washer cleaner once per month.  (Available at Superior Appliance)

Question 3:  Why will my dryer beep at me, but not start when I push the start button?
A:  Your dryer door may not be closed completely. 
Push the top and bottom of the dryer door to make sure the door is closed.

Question 4:  Why is my dryer taking longer to dry than usual?
A:  You may have a problem that one of our technicians will need to service.
However, you can try these troubleshooting steps...
1.  Check the dryer lint trap, make sure it is clean.
2.  Check the dryer vent, make sure it is clear.

Question 5:  My freezer is frosting up, what can I do?
A: A common problem that causes this is the door being left open. 
You will want to watch the freezer or refrig/freezer to make sure you do not have a more serious problem.
If it does not begin to freeze again, you may need a service technician.

Question 6:  How can I stop my glasses from getting cloudy after they go through a cycle in my dishwasher?
A:  The use of a water softener will help with this problem. 
If you do not have a water softener, we carry two products that you put with your soap to soften the water.
If the problem still occurs after this action, you may need a technician.
